Alpin Chalets Schröcken



The nature around Schröcken is almost untouched. Enjoy the beautiful Alpenpanaroma in Schröcken and the surrounding mountains far away from any noise source. Hiking or biking right from the front door to cozy huts and peaks with breathtaking views. Cool off afterwards in one of the beautiful outdoor pools in the area. Schröcken and its surroundings have everything to fill your summer vacation with plenty of rest, exercise and excitement.

Hiking-tour to the most beautiful place in Austria - the Körbersee

A one-hour hike from Schröcken lies the Körbersee, which in 2017 was voted Austria's most beautiful place by Austrian television channel ORF. Take a rest at the Berggasthaus Körbersee and enjoy the beautiful view from the sun terrace. A round-trip trail leads you back to Schröcken.

Further hikes in the area

Directly on the doorstep of the Alpin Chalets you can start many beautiful walks, e.g.

1. on top of the Widderstein over the Widderstein hut
2. on top of the Höferspitze or
3. via a via ferrata on the Karhorn as well as further easier hikes

Murmele’s Hiking Pass for the little ones

For the younger guests there is a passport, with which stamps can be collected at different hiking stations. For the endurance there is a surprise at the end.

The „Bregenzerwald-Card“

For stays of 3 nights or more, guests from Schröcken receive the Bregenzerwald Card, the free entrance ticket to all mountain adventures, summer cable cars, public buses and outdoor pools (valid from May to October).

Adventure- and Climbing Park Schröcken

In the Adventure Park Schröcken several high wire courses, two flying fox, different via ferrata and much more await brave climbers.


Mountainbiker miss out nothing in Schröcken and may take for example the Tannberg- Round Trip or the „Enzian-Tour“ until Oberstdorf.

Outdoor pools in Schoppernau and Mellau

In the immediate vicinity of Schröcken several outdoor pools offer cooling on hot days (Schoppernau, Mellau and Lech)

Alp Museum and Alpe Batzen

A nice hike leads to the managed cabin Alpe Batzen. There is a museum next door displaying exhibits of the Alpine life of previous generations. (Alpmuseum „uf m’Tannberg“)
